Overview
The Vidar G316X is a full-size 101-key mechanical keyboard connected over USB. It has RGB backlighting, hot-swappable switch sockets and programmable keys. Four colours are offered as variants — black, white, pink and purple — with yellow listed by Vidar as a further option confirmed at quote. Red linear switches are the switch type listed by Vidar.
Hot-swap sockets are the practical feature: they let a switch be replaced without soldering, which matters for a keyboard that will be used daily. The full-size layout keeps a number pad, which is why this is the option for spreadsheet and data-entry desks rather than a compact gaming board.
Two purchasing notes. Vidar sells this keyboard at a bulk tier with a minimum order of five units, so it is quoted rather than priced for a single unit. And the switch brand, keycap material, weight, dimensions and cable length are not published, so they are confirmed on the quotation rather than described here.
What it suits
For desks that want a full layout and serviceable switches: data entry, spreadsheets, gaming setups and shared workstations.
Typical workloads
- Data entry and spreadsheets. A number pad and full-size layout for people who type figures all day, with replacement switches available without soldering.
- Gaming setups. RGB lighting, programmable keys and red linear switches, in a colour that matches the rest of a build.
- Multi-desk orders. A minimum of five units suits a small office or a gaming café standardising on one keyboard.
Questions
Why is the keyboard quoted rather than priced?
Vidar's offer is a bulk tier with a minimum order of five units, so the advertised figure is not a single-unit retail cost. We quote per order.
Which switches does it use?
Vidar lists red linear switches. The switch brand is not published, so no brand name is claimed; if a specific switch matters, ask for it to be confirmed on the quotation.
What does hot-swap mean here?
The sockets accept replacement switches without soldering, so a worn or disliked switch can be changed. The list of compatible switch types is not published, so confirm pin compatibility before buying spares.
Is a smaller version available?
Vidar lists a 98-key variant and a mouse combo as separate options. Those are confirmed at quote rather than sold as variants of this page.
