The Vidar Pocket 8 is the smallest machine in the range: an 8-inch IPS touch display, an Intel N100 processor, 12 GB of memory and Windows 11 Pro in a metal-bodied 2-in-1 shell. It is small enough to keep in a jacket or a tool case, and it runs the same Windows software as a desk machine rather than a cut-down mobile operating system.
That size sets expectations. An 8-inch panel suits forms, terminal sessions, stock lookups, checklists, chat and quick email. It does not replace a 15-inch laptop for spreadsheet work or long documents. Storage is chosen at order from 128 GB to 2 TB, which is unusual in this size class and makes the machine usable for local data.
Graphics are deliberately not specified here. Vidar's attribute block claims a dual dedicated graphics card, while its own overview describes integrated Intel graphics for an N100 part. The two statements cannot both be right, so no graphics claim is published until Vidar confirms which is correct.
Built for work that happens away from a desk: field service, warehouse aisles, site surveys and mobile diagnostic tools that need Windows rather than a tablet app.
Vidar's page is contradictory: one attribute field claims dual dedicated graphics, while the product overview describes integrated Intel graphics on an N100 processor. We publish no graphics claim until that is resolved in writing.
For forms, terminals, lookups and messaging, yes. For spreadsheets, long documents and any multi-window work it is cramped by design. Buy it as a specialist tool, not as your only computer.
12 GB is the only advertised memory size. No upgrade ceiling is published, so any change would be a special request confirmed on quotation.
It is a 2-in-1 body with an integrated keyboard, unlike the keyboard-excluded Twin 10 configuration. Layout options are not published, so confirm the layout you need on the quote.
